MINNESOTA NATIONAL GUARD SOCIAL MEDIA TOOLKIT

WHY THIS MATTERS

Minnesota National Guard members are currently deployed in Washington, DC as part of a federal operation that DC’s local government never requested and cannot control. Unlike every other jurisdiction in the country, DC has no governor. The president has authority over DC’s National Guard, not DC’s local elected officials. DC’s 700,000 residents have no legal right to stop this deployment.

This is why DC statehood matters. Share these posts to demand Minnesota’s guard members come home.
