We’ve decided to eliminate event costs this Fall and direct 100% of the funds we usually raise to our upcoming national campaign. Members of Congress who oppose Equality for DC will only back down from limiting our rights if they receive pressure from their own constituents to focus on needs in their home states. Educating citizens across the country and cultivating activists in key states is critical to our success here in the District.

Certain House Appropriators are yet again using the appropriations process to force their own personal views on DC residents.

Now is your chance to fight this injustice!

Wednesday, June 17, 2015 - 12:00pm to 1:30pm
Location: Room 2359 Rayburn House Office Building

Be there as the House Appropriations Committee marks-up the FY 2016 Financial Services and General Government Bill and attempts to undermine basic Democracy by introducing anti-DC riders.

We need to make a strong showing to let Congress know DC residents will not sit idly by as lawmakers we did not elect tell us how to spend our local tax dollars!

We will meet outside of Room 2359 in the Rayburn House Office Building at 10:45 AM.
