Nonprofit adds four new Board Members and a new Director of Communications
Washington, DC (May 2, 2019) – DC Vote, a national advocacy organization dedicated to securing equality for the people of DC, today announced the growth of its Board of Directors and a new staff member. , Chaplin for American University, documentary film maker and , LGBT leader, have joined the Board (Schaefer, Kempner, and Klenert each are returning after a hiatus). Additionally, DC Vote has hired a new Director of Communications, , a DC native, Howard graduate and a communications expert., owner of Cork Wine Bar and Market and former SEIU xx,
“Our work to bring full democracy to the residents of the District of Columbia is reaping great results and support for Statehood is growing at a remarkable speed” said Bo Shuff, Executive Director. “We are pleased to have four Statehood supporters join our Board, each who brings a wealth of knowledge about advocacy and policy sectors and will lend themselves and their expertise to our urgent work of making Washington, DC the 51st state of this country.
