Event Date:
Monday, April 16, 2018 - 8:00am to 5:00pm

Join us to add your voice in telling Congress: we want to be a state, we want to be equal!

The present political climate demands that this be the largest Lobby Day ever. Members of Congress must loudly hear our Hands Off DC message- now, especially, Hands Off our gun safety laws- as well as our demand for an end to the suppression of our right to full representation through Statehood.

Holding Lobby Day on D.C. Emancipation Day acknowledges the work that is still to be done in achieving full citizenship for the people of D.C. We will be honoring the significance of that past action while working towards a future in which D.C. residents truly are equal to residents in all the states.

Sign up now! Teams of Statehood advocates will meet with Members of Congress and their staffs and demand an end to this injustice. Training is provided. Full and half-day shifts available.
