“DC Emancipation Day is a celebration of freedom. Sadly, DC residents remain second class citizens and our battle for equality is far from over.
We continue our fight next Tuesday, when DC citizens will fan out across Capitol Hill urging Representatives and Senators to Free DC’s Budget. It is time for Members of Congress who are unaccountable to DC residents stop dictating how and when the DC government spends local tax dollars.”
