March 18, 2011

In response to the announcement that the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform is launching an official probe of allegations against DC Mayor Vince Gray, DC Vote Executive Director Ilir Zherka issued the following statement:

“Chairman Darrel Issa’s decision to spend American taxpayer dollars investigating a local DC issue is unnecessary. If he believes that the DC Council’s investigation will not be sufficient, Issa can rest assured that two other federal investigations are already underway, leaving him free to tackle the nation’s health care and home foreclosure crises.”
