WASHINGTON--The new Republican-led House of Representatives has voted to take away DC's vote in the Committee of the Whole.

DC Delegate Eleanor Holmes Norton will no longer be allowed to weigh in on bills in committee. The move is part of a package of rules for the 112th Congress, which also strips voting powers from delegates representing Guam, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, the Northern Mariana Islands, and American Somoa.
