WASHINGTON (WUSA) -- D.C. Mayor-Elect Vincent Gray emerged from lunch with President Barack Obama Wednesday and said the two talked about voting rights in Congress for D.C. citizens, jobs, education reform and economic development.
Afterwards, Gray said the President wants to help. The District's next Mayor faced the cameras without the President.
There was a photo released by the White House that showed the two sitting far apart at opposite ends of a table (see photo at right).
According to speculation, White House is still shielding images of the President with stitches after he sustained a busted lip in a pick-up basketball game.
