Washingtonians Demand the Vote for DC at Mayflower Gala

The DC Vote Champions of Democracy Awards Dinner was held at The Mayflower Hotel on Tuesday night honoring Smith Bagley, Kathy Schmidt and Andy Shallal. "When Iraq got its voting rights," Shallal told Niteside, " I was able to vote in Iraq. I was surprised that I was able to vote in a representative government while I can't in my own city where I live today."
