Compare Wyoming & the District of Columbia
You can see that these two areas of land are very different in size, but you can also see that they have nearly the same number of people living in them. You can also take a look at the differences in racial make up, education and poverty levels.
Do they deserve equal representation in Congress?

Rights & Responsibilities
While residents of both Wyoming and the District of Columbia share all the responsibilities of being American citizens, residents of DC are denied equal rights.
National & Local Government & Elections
Residents of Wyoming elect Representatives and Senators to Congress who vote on issues on importance to all Americans, including education, health care, security, civil rights and the budget. Wyoming residents also elect state and local government officials who have complete authority over state and local issues.
DC residents are denied voting representation in Congress, so they have no vote on issues of national importance. The locally elected government in the District of Columbia must submit all of their locally passed laws and budgets to Congress. The Congress, in which DC residents have no voting representation, often interfers with or overrules DC's laws and budget.

* The District government creates the District of Columbia's budget and writes the District of Columbia's laws. However, at any time and for any reason, Congress may repeal, rewrite, or override the District government's decisions.
