- Offer any of the following suggestions not yet mentioned:
- Tell friends and family outside the District of Columbia about DC voting rights.
- Visit Act NOW!, at DC Vote's award-winning Web site, www.dcvote.org, to send e-mails to members of Congress.
- Register to vote.
- Call or write a letter to your member of Congress.
- Choose to write a paper or prepare a project on the topic of DC voting rights.
- Write an editorial or letter-to-the-editor for your community or local paper.
- Create a flier about the issue to inform the school community and others.
- Volunteer for DC Vote.
- Why are these actions important? How do they help?
