Dear Friend,

Did you know that nearly 600,000 American citizens living in Washington, DC, do not have a voting representative in Congress? Washingtonians pay the highest per capita federal income taxes in the country and serve in the military at a high rate, yet have no vote in the national legislature.

Now, we have an opportunity to do something about this historic injustice. The DC Voting Rights Act passed the House and is currently before the Senate. This bill would give the citizens of DC a voting member of Congress for the first time ever.

Please contact your member of Congress and tell them that you support the DC Voting Rights Act of 2007. You can send a letter or e-mail here:

Thanks for your help. It's time to let DC vote!
