Patrick “Pages” Matam, University of Maryland

Patrick "Pages" Matam, a student at the University of Maryland, is a dedicated community activist who has been instrumental in the success of every major Students for DC Vote event held over the past year. Matam is the only student featured in DC Vote's new ad campaign I Am DC; I Demand the Vote, that is currently running on WMATA buses throughout the District. Matam was on the planning committee for Project S.T.A.N.D., and recently received a Young Activist Award at the Students for DC Vote Summer Send off in July 2009. Pages-who was featured in the HBO Documentary, Brave New Voices- was also a performer in Project S.T.A.N.D.: Votes, Voices and Visions, Students for DC Vote's artist showcase. Pages, thank you for your hard work and dedication to the DC Vote cause!
