Location:     The Passenger
Time:     5:00 PM - 8:00 PM

Do you demand democracy for DC?

Are you frustrated that the new Congress revoked the Delegate's vote in the Committee of the Whole and is taking steps to erase Home Rule?

Then join DC Vote for happy hour at The Passenger, featuring specialty DC Democracy cocktails: the Holmes Rule, One City Cocktail and non-alcoholic Chairman's Cup.

  • WHEN: January 31, 2011
  • WHERE: The Passenger, 1021 7th Street, NW, Washington, D.C.
  • TIME: 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM

The focus of this event will be moving forward with bold, creative protest ideas. Our guests of honor will be supporters that entered our Demand Democracy in DC Contest. Come hear their thoughts and share some of your own!

We will also be joined by the following organizations, which are cosponsoring this event:

    • DC Federation of Civic Associations
    • Generation Obama
    • Network for Progress
    • The Gertrude Stein Democratic Club
    • DC Young Democrats

    Invited DC officials include:

    • Mayor Vince Gray
    • Chairman Kwame Brown
    • The DC Shadow Delegation
    • Members of the DC Council

And the best part: 10% of the proceeds from the night will go to DC Vote to support our efforts to secure full voting representation and full democracy for the 600,000 tax-paying citizens of the District of Columbia.
