Community Canvassing with Jews United for Justice

Date:     Sunday, May 11, 2008
Location:     Gallery Place/Chinatown, Washington, DC
Time:     12:00 PM - 4:00 PM

Please join Jews United for Justice this Sunday, May 11, to take the DC voting rights message to the streets (and the metro entrance and the Spy Museum...). You'll be able to learn about DC's denial of voting rights, talk to DC's visitors, and get to know some great JUFJ folks!

The group will meet at 12:00 PM at the Religious Action Center of Reform Judaism for bagels and a training at noon on Sunday. The RAC is located at 2027 Massachusetts Ave, NW. The group will then metro over to Chinatown, to educate out-of-town guests about DC's lack of representation and encourage them to sign a DC voting rights petition. The afternoon will end with a debrief and celebration at Teaism at 8th and D St NW. The event will be done by 4pm.

Please RSVP to Darya Mattes by phone 202.408.1423 or by e-mail at darya@jufj.org so she knows how many bagels to bring and materials to print. Bring a friend or two! And if you'll be spending Mother's Day with your mom - she can come too!

See you on Sunday!
