The Revolution Is Still Brewing!
DC Vote's Tea Party on Sunday, December 16, 2007, was a resounding success! Even with cold rain and harsh winds threatening early in the morning, nearly 150 supporters came out to commemorate the 234th anniversary of the Boston Tea Party by calling for an end to Taxation Without Representation. Delegate Eleanor Holmes Norton, Councilmember Carol Schwartz, the DC Shadow delegation, and the Young Suffragists reminded the crowd of the symbolism of the day's anniversary and also helped us dump leaves into the Potomac.
