DC Elected Leaders Rally to Demand Voting Rights in Congress, Sunday, April 15 at 2:00 PM
Council Chair Holds Pre-Voting Rights March Rally with Delegate Eleanor Holmes Norton, City Councilors, Ward Chairs, DC Vote and others.
One day before the April 16 Voting Rights March, DC City Council Chair Vince Gray will join Delegate Eleanor Holmes Norton, city council, ward chairs and other community leaders to end taxation without representation in the District of Columbia.
Residents who may not be able to take the day off will prepare signs for the April 16 marchers and learn about the status of the DC Voting Rights Act. Leaders expect a floor vote in the U.S. House of Representatives during the week of April 16 when Congress returns from recess.
