DC Vote was joined by hundreds of volunteers and supporters, elected officials and other citizen advocates to walk the halls of Congress educating members of Congress and their staff on the DC Voting Rights Act (H.R. 328).

The event kicked off at 8:30 AM with continental breakfast in the Cannon Caucus Room and then teams of citizens advocates went on visits to members of Congress and staff in the Cannon, Rayburn and Longworth House Office Buildings.

DC Vote was excited to have Delegate Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-DC); Representative Tom Davis (R-VA); Mayor Adrian Fenty (D); Council Chairman Vincent Gray; (D) and Councilmembers Carol Schwartz (R), Kwame Brown (D), Mary Cheh (D), Harry Thomas, Jr. (D), and Tommy Wells (D) join the Congress Day 2007 activities.
