About Our Creative Space

Since DC Vote's founding, we have worked with local artists to produce and promote artwork that highlights democracy, justice and voting rights. In turn, our supporters have shared their creative talents with us in an effort to spread the word about DC voting rights and democracy.

We believe art has the power to inspire change in new and innovative ways - we are proud to provide a forum for art related to or inspired by the DC democracy movement. Please check out the gallery below, and don't be shy to submit pieces of your own.

Artist Spotlight: "Give Me a Vote" The vision by Albus Cavus for the "Give Me a Vote" campaign is to put a spotlight on the struggle for DC voting rights with public art that inspires discourse on democracy. Video & Music The following videos & music can be used as tools to spread the message of DC's denial of democracy and raise public awareness of the District's plight. Photography & Mixed Media The photography and mixed media showcase projects that our supporters have either created or captured at DC Vote events. Each piece highlights the passion DC residents have for freedom and full democracy.
Creative Ads DC Vote uses online, print, television and radio advertisements to educate people about our issue by using high-impact visuals. Take a look at some of our past campaigns.		Poetry This collection of poetry shows DC residents expressing their emotions about the District's lack of full democracy and why it is so important for us to achieve it. The pieces range from songs and sonnets to slam poetry.
