Urge DNC Chairman Howard Dean to Support DC in 2008

The Democratic National Committee's Rules and Bylaws Committee met in Washington, DC, on July 22 to choose a jurisdiction to host a presidential nominating contest between Iowa's Caucus and New Hampshire's Primary in 2008.

We are grateful to all of DC Vote's supporters who helped with DC Vote's campaign to urge the DNC to select Washington, DC, for an early nominating contest.

In the end, the Rules and Bylaws Committee selected Nevada to hold their caucus between Iowa and New Hampshire, and they selected South Carolina to host their primary immediately following New Hampshire. Read More.
